I am open and supportive to any issues related to Sexuality and Gender Identity.
I have experience and sensitivity with working with individuals and members of the LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning, intersex, and asexual) community and am aware of the possible challenges that many members of this community may face.
Despite the continued growth of cultural acceptance, there's still a lot of discrimination and oppression many people face as a result of being part of the LGBTQIA community. Such issues may include: coming out to one's family and friends, facing discrimination, judgment, bullying, navigating relationships, and overall difficulty figuring out your authentic sense of self in the face of possible social stigma and familial expectations. All this may result in stress, depression, anger, anxiety and insecurity. Many of the concerns and challenges LGBTQ people bring to therapy are common to all people. We are all subject to the same kinds of daily life stressors, such as work stress, emotional instability, self esteem issues, relationship issues, and need for personal development.
My mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment to help any way I can.
